Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the first significant honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
