WHere is an easy interpretation of a beverage from a new menu. Designed as a batch prepared mix that's packed with the essence associated with festive period, rendering it excellent for your celebration. Any leftover syrup for morning drinks, desserts, or to make another batch of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 people
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Put all the ingredients inside a saucepan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. After that, remove from the heat and leave to cool down entirely. Transfer to a sterilised bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for around four weeks.
To make Cocktail Base: Pour every liquids into a big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it , ideally through muslin, making it fully clarified.
For serving: Pour 85ml from the premix to a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring gently for about 60 seconds to chill. Filter into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries and complete it with a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the top.
